The Begining
Recursive started as a one man consultancy, focussed on a more pragmatic approach to project implementation. Over the years, the team has expanded to include senior people that ‘do’.
Mission
We believe the standard approach to large scale transformation is fundamentally broken, and the Standish Group CHAOS report agrees with us. We set ourselves apart by working at the coal face and managing from the bottom up. It shifts the paradigm, but works much, much better.
We succeed
Our projects routinely fall under or within budget, deliver close to 100% of defined scope and show demonstrable progress every development cycle. We don’t have layers of managers, every consultant is actively scoping, building or testing; anything else is noise.
Collectively, we have seen so much waste on projects. Teams and teams of people seemingly only interested in updating a Powerpoint, but forgetting that real momentum comes from being able to define the problem and design a solution that can be articulated to both developer and stakeholder alike. The evidence is clear, traditional IT project Management is fundamentally detrimental to outcome. The industry needs a shift in mindset.
